
It is advised that your school puts together a form similar to this that should be signed and kept in your ICT folder at school.
From time to time you will be using computers and the Internet in your lessons. To help make sure you use the computers and the Internet properly you must first read and sign the following agreement.

I will:
- Show care and respect for all computer equipment in school.
- Ask my parent to sign the agreement form before I use the Internet.
- Only use the Internet if I have been given permission by a teacher or support worker.
- Always ask before copying and using anything from the Internet.
- Let staff look at any work I store on the school network or on disks I use on school computers.
- Be polite and be respectful that other people on the Internet might have different views or beliefs than my own.
- Let my teacher know if any unsuitable pictures or writing comes on the screen.

I will not:
- Log on as a different person and look at their work.
- Use the Internet for my own private use whilst in school.
- Give out the user identity, password or personal details of myself or
any other person whilst using the Internet.
- View or copy any material that is likely to be unsuitable for pupils in schools.
- Use strong language, swear or show aggressive behaviour towards other people on the Internet.
- Buy any goods or services using the school Internet facilities.
Breaking any of these rules will result in one or more
of the following:
- The incident may be reported to your Head of Year and Head of Lower or Upper School for further investigation.
- A letter will be sent, reporting the incident to your parents.
- Any other action decided by the Headteacher and Governors of your school in accordance with the school's and governor's discipline policy.
- You will be required to pay in full for any goods or services ordered.
