These guidance notes are intended for teachers accompanying groups of pupils and for other Adult users of the CLC.
- Projects should normally be a maximum of six weeks duration.
- Please use the school calendar when planning the timing of your project and avoid making bookings for weeks when the class involved will not be available e.g. work experience, exams, field trips etc. If you are unable to attend a lesson that has been booked, please let us know as quickly as possible.
- If your visit to the CLC will involve a longer stay e.g. a whole morning, afternoon or day, please liaise with CLC staff when planning for break and lunch times. Note: food and drink will need to be brought with the group; it is not available within the CLC.
- Each lesson in the project should be planned in advance. Please bring with you a brief outline of your initial ideas for development. A series of structured lessons can then be planned in conjunction with a member of CLC staff.
- Lesson content - when planning lessons, teachers should be mindful of the issues relating to child protection and ensure that pupils' anonymity is preserved.
- User IDs for logging on purposes will be discussed with your CLC contact at the planning stage of the project.
- An appointment for an evaluation session will be made with you at the time the initial booking is made. The purpose of this session is to review the work carried out, evaluate the success of the project and plan for how the work may be continued back in school.
