The City Learning Centre @ Abraham Moss is run in partnership with the groups
below as a shared resource venue to provide facilities for the enhancement
of teaching and learning in the North West Manchester community:
- Local primary and secondary schools
- Adult Education
- The Library Service
- Manchester Education Partnership
- Manchester Diversity and Inclusion
To ensure that the Centre develops in a spirit of partnership and mutual support,
for the benefit of everyone, our management board is made up of representatives
from each of the above groups.
The Centre offers outstanding state-of-the art information and communication
technology facilities and is fully equipped with over 100 multimedia computers.
This hi-tech equipment enables pupils across the curriculum and adult learners
to get the most out of their different subjects and courses.
The CLC is served by excellent public transport with easy access by both Metrolink
and buses. There is ample car parking space, patrolled by security guards and
observed by CCTV. There is a wide range of public amenities on site - including
a library, leisure centre and theatre - attracting a wide range of cultural
groups.
From January to June 2001 the Centre has opened its doors to over 10,000 people
of all ages, races and culture. Each month, this figure continues to grow!
